Act I of the Campaign for Seattle Rep is realizing our vision of Theater at the Heart of Public Life through projects like new artist commissions, renovations to our Bagley Wright Theater and public spaces, expanded Pay What You Choose programming, and (of course!) extraordinary shows on stage.

In 2024, we will cap off this massive $20.2M effort by bringing you an incredible slate of productions, opening our new play readings and workshops to the public, and completing the transformation of our newly named Nancy Delaney Alvord Lobby into a more welcoming and comfortable space for our entire community.

Make a Gift and DOUBLE Your Impact!

We're less than 10% from our goal--and there's never been a better time to give! For a limited time, all gifts to Act I will be matched three-to-one thanks to the generosity of the Behnen/Hornsby Family. Make a donation of any amount by June 30, 2024 and quadruple your impact!

... and we need our community to get us over the finish line!
Won't you join the more than 200 individuals and organizations who have supported Act I?

What Does Act I Support?

Campaign Investments

Act I of the Campaign for Seattle Rep advances our vision of Theater at the Heart of Public Life by investing in our three core values:

  • Artwork for Artistic Vitality

    Artistic Vitality

Producing theater at the highest level and bringing new works and new voices to the stage. Through winter and spring 2024, you will see that through dynamic work on stage like Quixote Nuevo, as well as Sanctuary City and Fat Ham—plays we build from the ground up. You’ll also see readings and workshops of new work, including pieces commissioned by Seattle Rep.

  • Artwork for Sustainability

    Sustainability

Strengthening our financial model to generate steady income year-to-year for operations and future planning. Rebuilding our endowment and establishing operating reserves are critical to our producing model and ensuring our role as a civic and artistic leader for generations to come.

  • Artwork for Generous and Inclusive Practices

    Generous and Inclusive Practices

Advancing our commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and access for our entire community. In addition to Pay What You Choose programming, we have upgraded our Bagley Wright Theater, restrooms, and other spaces to be more welcoming to all. In summer 2024 we will complete this transformation with improvements to our Nancy Delaney Alvord Lobby.

Thank You to Our Act I Supporters

None of this work would be possible without the belief and partnership of Seattle Rep’s donor family. We are deeply grateful to our Act I supporters, whose commitments now total over $18.75 million. Their extraordinary generosity is helping Seattle Rep achieve our vision.
