Scott’s Notes: After the tragic assassination of John F Kennedy in 1963, Lyndon Baines Johnson assumes the presidency and sets in motion legislation that creates profound change for the United States. Tony Award-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan offers a vivid dramatization of LBJ’s struggle to pass the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964. With a cast of onstage characters including Martin Luther King Jr, George Wallace, J Edgar Hoover and Robert McNamara, All the Way is a fantastic tie- in for American History Classes. Extensive student study guides and pre show in-class workshops will be available.
