Scott’s Notes: Robert Schenkkan’s second installation of the LBJ plays depicts the larger-than-life politician’s tragic fall from grace, as his legislative war on poverty is overshadowed by the escalation of the Vietnam War. Onstage characters include Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr and Coretta King, Richard Nixon and General William Westmoreland. The Great Society is another wonderful opportunity to make this tumultuous era in U.S. history country come alive for your students. As with All the Way, extensive student study guides and pre show in-class workshops will be available.

To purchase tickets, e-mail Scott Koh, Education Programs Manager, or call him at 206-443-2210 x1043.
