SRT looks forward to presenting this classical play during Miller’s 100th birthday year. First produced in 1955, the American classic A View from a Bridge grapples with the timeless issues of immigration, family, and loyalty. Set in a 1950s Italian American neighborhood near the Brooklyn Bridge, Miller’s tragic protagonist has to choose to compromise his ethics in an attempt to fulfill his desires. At the same time, his young niece struggles with asserting her independence as an adult in an ever-changing world.

A great tie-in for Language Arts, U.S. History and Political Science classes. Extensive student study guides and pre-show in-class workshops will be available.
