Woody Sez Hootenannies: January 7 and 22 after the 7:30 p.m. performance and January 14 and 29 after the 2 p.m. performance

During the late 1930s, hootenannies (musical get-togethers) were brought to life by Seattleites, and then adopted by visiting folk musicians Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger, who shared the phenomenon across the country.

Do you have a musical instrument? Are you a musician at heart? Join the cast of Woody Sez and other local musicians for our own hootenannies on January 7 and January 14!

Bring an instrument to these performances (we’ll have a safe place for your to keep them during the show) and after the show, gather in the Rotunda to play music with your fellow audience members, just as earlier Seattleites once did. All experience levels are welcome—a few noisemakers will be available to borrow for these events!
