Please join Seattle Repertory Theatre’s artistic leadership on a theatre-lovers trip to Chicago, March 20-22, 2015
Braden Abraham, Acting Artistic Director, and I will be visiting the Windy City to further engage in the development of new work in the American Theatre. We heartily welcome you to join us for a weekend of theatre, good company and conversation. As part of the Rep’s group, you’ll have exclusive access to behind-the-scenes opportunities that are not typically offered to the general public.
The Good Book, by Lisa Peterson and Denis O’Hare, premieres at the Court Theatre next month. You may remember that it was one of the plays included in our New Play Festival this past fall, where it underwent two weeks of workshops. We have the unique opportunity to travel as a group to see the show while it is still in previews to witness the play in full production and consider how it has developed since it graced our stages earlier this season. While we are in Chicago, we will make the most of our time together and soak up some of the other exhilarating culture there, including the edgy and glamorous production of Mare Antoinette at Steppenwolf, written by David Adjmi and directed by the incredible Robert O’Hara.
The details and itinerary are below and are continuing to take shape daily. We hope you’ll consider joining us for this weekend away. It will be a terrific time to adventure together into other theatres, observe some masterful work, get to know those behind it, break bread, drink cocktails and talk about plays and art. If you have questions or are interested in learning more, please contact Heidi Pardo by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 206.443.2203 by March 2. Space is limited, so please reserve your spot early. It would be a thrill to spend this time with you.
